This Dark Forest
Fate does not lead us
It is our choice
To go to the part of
The forest where the sun cannot penetrate
The dense leaves of green
That top massive trees
In darkness
We stumble
We fall
Into a pit
Down
   Down
     Down
Until we reach our own center of white bone
Locked inside the darkness
Inside ourselves

Courting Darkness
Mr. Darkness I really cannot stop
In for cakes and rose hip tea
No I don't want walk in the woods
And take dead words like hymns into my heart
I'm not going place my body on a alter
So you can take my secrets out and
Leave me a ghost in a moving shell of flesh
Like the mirror image, the female side of you

We Met Vampires
We met vampires
Who called themselves
'Our contemporaries'
Yet would not speak to us
For we were not an image
We were real
Standing in the dark while they were
Drinking to their lives
	From tall champagne glasses
Thinking themselves immortals
But rotting under frosted masks and redden lips
Being consumed by their own drunken self importance
Draining everything they needed
	From us

Chocolate Vampires
Creamy brown chocolate
Marshmallow insides
In vampire form
We can't help
Biting hard and sucking up
The sweet center
Leaving the sweet flesh for last
And that is how we must taste
With our red jell core
To something so dead
